What is Automation?
What does system automating mean?
I’ve been getting this question a lot. Most people know what automating is, but it’s not as easy when it comes to business.
Wikipedia explains automation as:
Automation, or Labor-saving technology is the technology by which a process or procedure is performed with minimal human assistance.
We all look at ways to save time, and automation is a great tool to use.
Think of an assembly line. All the parts are coming to the machines to get assembled. Have you ever watched that show How it’s Made? (https://www.sciencechannel.com/tv-shows/how-its-made/) This show is one of my favorites. Maybe that’s why I like system automation so much. The show goes through an assembly line of candies and everyday items. If you haven’t seen an assembly line it’s where the parts move from workstation to workstation where parts and pieces are added until it’s done and packaged up.
Wouldn’t you love to have part or all of your business automated? Having even a piece of your business automated will save you so much time. Think of the emails you send manually thanking your clients and the emails sending out notifications and reminders. Automating your systems as much as possible can save you hours a week by doing the work for you!
Think of anything that you wait for someone to purchase or request, then you follow up with an email or calendar invite. These processes are natural for you to do, but when you have a lot of purchases or a lot of requests, is this going to be doable? If it is not scalable, then you may want to rethink your approach.
The time saved setting up automations is time you can spend on sales calls scaling your business. The system automations will allow you to scale your business without taking any more of your time.
